in that observation, you explained what is wrong with the majority of music today... call me lame, but i really like what coheed is doing with their music now... THAT being said, the retards that go to their concerts are too busy running into each other to pay attention to the magic on stage.
indie and new folk are the only genre's carrying the torch of legitimacy now, everyone else gives people a reason to photograph themselves drinking.

Maybe it's the lack of good drugs that has people drinking at concerts & in turn running around being loud & social ,instead of gettin into the music?Of course,short of blues artists,indie acts are about all any normal person can afford with ticket prices being so high !

Anyway, I like the newer stuff by the Lips, but I love the stuff off of their middle albums: Clouds Taste Metallic, Priest Driven Ambulance, Transmissions, Hit to Death. Of course, when Soft Bulletin came out my mind was blown.--Quit arguing about music and go Play some.
